The match between Genoa and Juventus will be held without fans due to unrest during the Genoa derby in the Italian Cup.

Match Genoa – Juventus will be held without fans due to riots during the Genoese derby against Sampdoria (1:1, 5:6, pen) in the 1/16 finals of the Italian Cup.

The decision was made after clashes between fans of Genoa and Sampdoria before and after the match. Following these clashes, several arrests were made and 38 people were injured, many of them police officers trying to disperse the blazing crowd.

Let us remind you that in the last round match against Venice (0:2), the Ukrainian midfielder of Genoa Ruslan Malinovsky was injured. Subsequent examination revealed a dislocated joint and a fracture of the fibula. The Ukrainian successfully underwent surgery on Sunday.

Genoa forward Andre Pinamonti, who scored a goal against Sampdoria, dedicated it to Malinovsky, showing the stands a T-shirt with the Ukrainian’s name.

The match of the 6th round of Serie A Genoa – Juventus will take place on Saturday, September 28. Start – at 19:00 Kyiv time.
