The Ukrainian women’s handball team lost to Poland in a control match

The teams will hold their second sparring on Sunday

Ukrainian women’s handball team lost Poland in a control match – 33:35.

Boris Chizhov’s team arrived for the match after a difficult training camp in Vinniki. The Polish team won the first half of the match by five goals. In the second half, the Ukrainians managed to reduce the gap, but did not escape defeat.

The most productive players in the blue-yellow team were point guard Tamara Smbatyan and right welterweight Milana Shukal. Both handball players scored eight goals.

The control match took place in Zakopane, Poland. On September 29, the teams will hold their second joint sparring.

Let us remind you that in November-December the Ukrainian women’s team will play in the final part of the 2024 European Championship. The Ukrainians’ rivals will be the Netherlands, Germany and Iceland.
