Earlier, a source told that the International Skating Union (ISU) council had not reconsidered the issue of admitting Russians to international competitions. The ISU Council was held in Lausanne and ended on September 28.

Russian figure skaters, speed skaters and short track speed skaters have been suspended from participating in international competitions under the auspices of the ISU since 2022.
