On Sunday, Victor fans returned to Stavropol from Krasnodar, where the Russian championship match against SKIF took place (29:30). Krasnodar authorities reported that an accident involving a bus and a truck occurred near the village of Starokorsunskaya. At the time of the accident, there were 49 people on the bus and 17 people were injured. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the truck driver was killed and the bus driver was injured.
The handball club later issued a statement saying there had been no deaths among bus passengers.
— Did the accident happen in your presence or not?
“We were the last bus in the convoy; the accident did not happen before our eyes. When we arrived there was a traffic jam. We learned that a bus carrying our supporters had been involved in an accident. We stopped about 300 meters before the accident and the whole team ran to help.
When they arrived next to the bus, the firefighters were already putting out the fire. We walked over to the fans and found out how people were feeling. One of the eyewitnesses said he got on the bus and checked to make sure there was no one there. Then we helped the doctors; the victims were loaded into ambulances. The doctors were great, quickly transporting all the victims within an hour and a half.
When we were sure everyone had received help, we rounded up the remaining fans and put them on the remaining buses. Now we are still on the way home, the team has a day off tomorrow.

“Psychologically you don’t think about anything, you run and help,” Zabolotsky told .
