The Brazilian started his career at this club
Brazilian striker Al-Hilal Neymar decided to return to Santos.
The player’s contract runs until the end of the 2024/25 season. Most likely, Al-Hilal will not renew the agreement with Neymar, after which he will move to Brazil as a free agent.
Neymar suffered a knee injury in October 2023 in a 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay. The Brazilian striker was substituted late in the first half and left the field in tears on a stretcher.
He was subsequently diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his knee, as well as anterior cruciate ligament injury. Thus, the Brazilian ended the season early.
At the beginning of September it was reported that the forward would return to the field no earlier than November. The Brazilian failed medical and fitness tests, which will delay his further recovery until at least January.
In the 2023/24 season, Neymar played only 5 matches for Al-Hilal, in which he scored one goal and provided three assists. The forward has already hinted that he intends to return to Santos in 2025.
Al-Hilal started the 2024/25 season by winning the Saudi Arabian Super Cup. In the national championship, Jorge Jesus’ team won five out of five matches.
