Al Nasr beat Qatar at home Al Rayyan in the second round AFC Champions League 2024/25 – 2:1.
The victory for the Saudi club was brought by its stars. Winger Sadio Mane opened the scoring at the end of the first half, and after the break, forward Cristiano Ronaldo scored the second goal. Al-Rayyan was able to close the gap, but did not escape defeat.
It was previously reported that Al-Nasr began negotiations to extend the contract with Ronaldo. The Portuguese himself plans to continue to actively compete in order to play at the 2026 World Cup, setting a record for the number of participations in World Cups.
Al-Nasr are third in the AFC Champions League West Group with four points. In the next round, Ronaldo’s team will play Esteghlal on October 22.
