President of the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation (FSPR) Olga Brusnikina reported that she is considering putting forward her bid for the governing body of the United Aquatics Federation.
The president of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (ARSF), Vladimir Salnikov, announced to on Tuesday his intention to create a united federation. The new united federation will include the FSM, FSPR, Russian Diving Federation and Russian Water Polo Federation.
“Yes, I intend to present my candidacy to the governing body of the new united federation,” Brusnikina told .
Previously, Salnikov confirmed to his intention to present his candidacy for the leadership of the new federation. The president of the Russian Diving Federation, Stanislav Druzhinin, will decide on his candidacy soon. The president of the Russian Water Polo Federation, Evgeny Sharonov, also did not rule out such a possibility.
The elections will take place on October 31 in Moscow.
