Skaters Elizaveta Pasechnik and Dario Chirisano after performing in rhythm dance at the Moscow championship, they said they had adapted to each other’s skating styles.
On Tuesday, the duo scored 75.03 points in rhythm dance and took the first intermediate place at the Moscow Championship.
— Have you found the courage?
Cirisano: Of course. At each start, we will catch up and try to do even better.
Beekeeper: We caught it, but it was a little tight. It’s not like training, and it’s not our maximum yet, so we will try to reach our full potential during competitions.
— And if you compare it with the test skates in St. Petersburg, where was it better?
Pasechnik: It seems to me that in St. Petersburg it was more emotional, so of course there were many more impressions. From the general situation, it seems to me that this greatly influenced emotions.
Chirisano: The atmosphere there was more solemn. But it was also very good here.
—Did you get what you hoped for?
Chirisano: I don’t know, I didn’t expect precise scores.
Pasechnik: It was interesting to see how the judges would evaluate us.
—How does this coincide with how you rate yourself?
Pasechnik: We have not set any limits for points.
— What goals do you set for the season?
Chirisano: The goal is to improve with each rental.
— Experts say some people need two years to become a couple, others less. How do you feel?
Beekeeper: We have already gotten used to each other. Everyone probably has omissions. In every couple there is something that is uncomfortable for someone, but that does not mean that partners are not used to skating together.
Chirisano: We are already a real couple.
— What did the coaches tell you?
Beekeeper: They congratulated us and said it was clear we had tried. This is probably the most important thing; it is important for an athlete to hear warm words from a coach and for him to see that you want to do everything as best as possible.
—Are these costume options final?
Cirisano: Not yet. The old dress highlighted everything I didn’t need.
Chirisano joined forces with Pasechnik in October 2023. The duo trains under the guidance of Angelica Krylova. The pair made their debut at the show program tournament in March this year.
