The president of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (ARSF), Vladimir Salnikov, announced to on Tuesday his intention to create a united federation. The new united federation will include the FSM, the Russian Diving Federation, the Russian Water Polo Federation and the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation.
Degtyarev stressed the importance of this move, noting its compliance with international practices.

The Russian Artistic Gymnastics Federation, the Russian Trampoline Federation, the Russian Acrobatic Sports Federation, the All-Russian Sports Aerobics Federation and the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation have decided to merge into one organization – the Russian Gymnastics Federation.
