Timothy Bradley: If Fury doesn’t waste energy on antics and showing off in his rematch with Usyk, he will be able to use it later in the fight to win

The rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usik will take place on December 21 in Saudi Arabia

Former world champion Timothy Bradley commented on the upcoming second fight between the holder of the WBO/WBA/IBO/WBC heavyweight belts Alexander Usik (22-0, 14 KOs) and former WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).

“Tyson Fury has several styles and approaches that he can use. Fury can make adjustments. In the first fight, he decided that he wanted to box Usyk. Fury was boxing on his back leg, moving. He fought extremely well and I don’t see why he can’t get back to that. Fury just needs to control his antics.”

“If he can do this and not waste energy on antics, showing off, etc., he can use some of that energy later in the fight when he needs it to win. And he also needs to stay focused. Fury lost concentration for a split second, and that’s all it took for Usyk.”

Let us remember that on the night of May 18-19, Usik inflicted the first defeat in his professional career on Tyson Fury in a fight that took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The victory was awarded to the Ukrainian by a split decision: 115-112, 113-114 and 114-113.

An agreement has been concluded between Usik and Fury for a re-fight. The “Gypsy King” has officially activated the rematch option. The second fight between Alexander and Tyson will take place on December 21, 2024 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said he would seek the introduction of video replays in this fight. Oleksandr Usyk will prepare for the rematch in a training camp in Valencia. Tyson Fury said he will begin training six to seven weeks before the fight.
