The president of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (RSF), Vladimir Salnikov, announced to on Tuesday his intention to create a united federation. The new united federation will include the FSM, FSPR, Russian Diving Federation and Russian Water Polo Federation.

Earlier, the president of the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation, Olga Brusnikina, said that she intends to put forward her candidacy for the governing body of the new united federation. She noted that the presidium would also consider issues of membership in the united federation.
