The All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) announced the creation of a commission to combat illegal influence on the results of competitions, the VFV press service reports.
It should be noted that the commission’s activities are aimed at strengthening honesty and transparency in volleyball, preventing manipulation of match results and protecting the reputation of the sport.
— The main task of the commission will be to identify and investigate cases related to attempts to organize or hold matches with a predetermined result. In addition, the commission will deal with issues of participation of volleyball subjects in gambling at bookmakers and lotteries by placing bets on official volleyball sports competitions.
The commission will work closely with law enforcement, sporting organizations and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach to solving the problem, the statement said.
