On Friday, Khabibullina and Knyazhuk won the Moscow championship with a score of 218.97 points. In April, the couple left Sergei Dobroskokov’s group to join Moser.
– How did you skate?
Khabibullina: We skated well. Neither good nor bad. You have to skate cleanly.
— Tell us about the free program.
Khabibullina: The free program was choreographed by Anzhelika Krylova, Maxim Stavisky and Ramil Mehdiev. Ramil works on the entire program with us every day. Our music is taken from the TV series “Vikings”, about five different compositions. Something new for us, not the usual lyrical image. We like it.
Knyazhuk: For fans of our romantic theme, I will say that we are going to roll it out again. It’s possible next season, but it’s not certain. You have to try new things, it’s not interesting to present the same subject every year.
— Which images seem easier to you?
Khabibullina: What’s easier with lyrical images is that the music is slow and soft. It’s not very difficult to roll it. There is something new here, a greater emphasis in the program. You need to show more emotions, be softer in some places, harsher in others, be associated with something harsh and evil. This is an unusual image for us, but we try to show ourselves not only in the lyrics.
– What else would you like to say? Do you have a dream program?
Knyazhuk: Personally, I would like to skate on the second part of last year’s free program “Game of Thrones”. I really didn’t want to part with this program. After the start of the new season, I thought about the second part more than once.
Khabibullina: Maybe one day we will resume “Game of Thrones”, but it will be the second part.
— How do you feel before the next competition? What is the situation in the new team?
Khabibullina: The atmosphere is great, we really enjoy skating in Nina Mikhailovna’s group. All the specialists work very well with us. Everything is very cool, we are looking forward to new competitions.
