Figure skater Dmitri Kozlovsky practicing pair skating with Alexandra Boykova said they have not yet made a decision on whether or not to introduce the quadruple throw into the program during the season.
The Boykova/Kozlovsky duo scored 228.20 points at the Panin-Kolomenkin Memorial in St. Petersburg and took second place. In the free program, the couple performed a quadruple throw with a stepout (landing error).
The first were Anastasia Mishina/Alexander Gallyamov (231.99 points), the third were Anastasia Mukhortova/Dmitry Evgeniev (199.54).
— It’s a bit of a shame that this happened. We have already done several rentals with a quadruple ejection. Today it didn’t work, but one day we will have to start trying this element in competition, not just in training.
I would like to note that, despite not so successful performances and difficult moments, the gap with the duo, who performed their program almost perfectly, is minimal – a little less than four points. We need to reduce the number of errors, all this has led to this result.
Will we add a quad in the future? I don’t know, we’ll make a decision. However, in just two weeks, we restructured and deployed our program,” reports the correspondent, according to Kozlovsky’s words.
