The blue-yellows will play the second match in Group F on October 7 against Poland
Men’s Ukrainian national beach soccer team won a crushing victory over Norway at the start of the qualifying tournament World Cup 2025 – 8:2.
The match, like the entire European qualification at this stage, took place in Cadiz, Spain. The Ukrainians started right off the bat: Andrey Pashko opened the scoring in the 20th second, and by the fifth minute the score was 3:0. By the end of the first period, the blue-yellows finally put an end to questions about the winner, scoring a 6:1 result (with a double by Igor Levchenko).
In the second 12 minutes the opponents exchanged goals. In the third period, only one goal was scored – Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrei Nerush scored from long range.
Ukraine will play the next match in Group F on October 7 against Poland. Based on the results of the first stage, the best 16 teams from six quartets will form pairs for the 1/8 finals. The eight winners will form two groups, and the top four will ultimately qualify for the 2025 World Cup finals, which will be held in the Seychelles.
The Ukrainian national team has previously competed in the finals of the Beach Soccer World Championships three times (2005, 2011, 2013).
