Figure skater Lyudmila Fursova said that she will try to perform well this season in order to participate in the Russian Championship and the Spartakiad of the Strongest.
On Saturday, Fursova scored 198.59 points at the Panin-Kolomenkin memorial in St. Petersburg.
“It was a bit exciting and difficult, because I hadn’t been able to go and train since my previous competitions, I had back problems. I’m happy to have come to my senses and to have been able to skate with dignity. There were a few mistakes, but it was pure excitement. Next time, I’ll get over it.
— How did you work on the program? Who put it?
— Alexandra Evgenievna Panfilova. Then I skated it myself and together with the choreographer we corrected something. I will improve it further and it will be better.
— What do you think of this start to the season?
— I always look forward to the start of the season. It’s very cool when the audience applauds you. You feel supported.
— What goals do you set for yourself?
– Like everyone else – clean performance. We don’t look at our opponents, the main thing is ourselves. I will try to perform well in the next competitions. And another goal is to qualify for the Russian Championship and Spartakiad.
— Which Grand Prix do you plan to participate in?
— In Kazan and possibly in Saint Petersburg. But that’s not correct,” reports the correspondent.
