The Toffees will play their next match on October 19 away against Ipswich
Head coach Everton Sean Dyche commented on the pace of recovery of the team’s two main defenders – Vitaly Mykolenko And Jarred Branthwaite.
“Mikolenko returned at the end of the week, on Wednesday-Thursday. Branthwaite – Monday-Tuesday. We looked at Jarrad and thought that perhaps he would have time to recover from injury before the Newcastle game. We hope they will be back for the next match, we just have to wait and watch.”
Mikolenko played his last match on September 28 against Crystal Palace (2:1). Due to the injury, Vitaly was excluded from the Ukrainian national team’s squad for the Nations League matches against Georgia (October 11) and the Czech Republic (October 14), and Austin defender Alexander Svatok was called up along with him.
Yesterday, without Mikolenko, Everton drew at home with Newcastle (0:0). In the Premier League standings, Sean Dyche’s team is in 16th position – it has only 5 points after 7 rounds.
