Real Madrid announced a contract extension with Carvajal, who suffered a cruciate ligament injury yesterday

The defender’s new agreement with Blancos runs until the summer of 2026

Real announced the extension of the contract with the defender Dani Carvahalem.

The new agreement between the parties is valid until June 30, 2026.

In yesterday’s La Liga match against Villarreal (2:0), Carvajal left the field on a stretcher shortly before the final whistle. The player himself subsequently announced that he had been diagnosed with a cruciate ligament injury and would soon undergo surgery.

Carvajal has been playing for Real Madrid since 2013. Together with Los Blancos, Dani won 26 trophies. The Spaniard also made history by becoming the first footballer to play in six UEFA Super Cup matches.

This year, Carvajal won all the main tournaments in which he took part – the Spanish Championship and the Champions League with the club, as well as Euro 2024 with the Spanish national team.

In the 2024/25 season, the defender played in 11 matches in all competitions, recording one goal and one assist each.

Real Madrid will play their next match on October 19 away against Celta Vigo.
