Chelsea failed to beat at home Nottingham Forest in the seventh round match English Premier League – 1:1.
The hosts had more possession of the ball from the start, but the guests skillfully snapped back on counterattacks. Forest managed to open the scoring early in the second half, with Chris Wood scoring.
The Blues continued to put pressure on the opponents’ goal. Noni Madueke equalized seven minutes later. The visitors were then left short-handed after James Ward-Prowse’s second yellow card. At the end of the meeting, the teams made a lot of fouls and received warnings, but the Blues were unable to capitalize on their numerical advantage.
Ukrainian Chelsea winger Mikhail Mudryk came on as a substitute at the very end of the meeting, and was unable to distinguish himself with effective actions. This season, the Ukrainian played in four Premier League matches.
