The club did not officially announce the departure of the Ukrainian coach
Head coach Neftchi Roman Grigorchuk terminated his employment agreement with the club.
The Ukrainian coach stopped working at the club from Baku and agreed on this decision with the management. Neftchi has not yet officially announced the coach’s resignation.
Let us remember that Grigorchuk took charge of Neftchi in June. The ex-coach of Chernomorets, Gabala, Astana, Zaporozhye Metallurg and other clubs signed a two-year agreement.
Under his leadership, the team still does not know the taste of victory in this edition of the Azerbaijani championship – in 9 rounds, Neftchi drew five times and suffered four defeats.
Earlier it was reported that Roman Grigorchuk at the head of Neftchi could be replaced by ex-coach of the Turkish national team Fatih Terim.
Neftchi will fight his next match on October 19 at home against Sabail. Neftchi ranks ninth in the Azerbaijani Championship standings.
