LeBron and Bronny James played together in a historic preseason game against the Phoenix Suns

First time father and son played in any type of NBA matchup

Legendary forward Lakers LeBron James and his son Bronny played together in a pre-season match National Basketball Association (NBA) With Phoenix Suns (118:114). The Jameses became the first father-son duo to play in the same NBA game of any type.

Bronny took the court in the second quarter. James Jr. played 13 minutes on the floor, scoring no points and making two rebounds with four turnovers. LeBron scored 19 points on the night, dished out four assists and grabbed five rebounds.

“We came out after the timeout and stood next to each other. I looked at my son. It was like The Matrix or something. It just didn’t feel real. But it was great to have those moments,” LeBron said after the game.

Let us remember that at the end of June the Lakers selected Bronny in the second round of the NBA draft with the 55th pick. James Jr., who turned 20, signed a guaranteed rookie contract.

LeBron, 39, signed a two-year contract extension with the Lakers in July. James will be playing his 23rd career NBA season. The forward will become the absolute NBA record holder for this indicator, surpassing Vince Carter’s achievement.
