The independent organization for the fight against doping in athletics has decided to impose sanctions on Irina Tarasova, who competes in the shot put. The two-year suspension took effect July 9, 2022. Additionally, results from July 2012 through July 2016 will be void.
Another athlete, Olesya Sviridova, was also sanctioned, but the case against her was limited to the cancellation of the results from June 2012 to July 2014. The athlete is also serving a four-year suspension.
