Juventus defender Bremer underwent surgery on his left knee

It was previously reported that the season for the Brazilian was over due to a meniscus and cruciate ligament injury.

Juventus officially announced that the defender Gleison Bremer successfully underwent surgery to repair the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee.

The operation was carried out in Lyon by Dr. Bertrand Sonneri-Cottet, and was also attended by the medical director of the Turin club, Luca Stefanini. In the coming days, the 27-year-old Brazilian will begin the rehabilitation process.

Let us remind you that Bremer suffered a knee injury on October 2 in the match with RB Leipzig (3:2) in the second round of the Champions League. A medical examination revealed that the player had damage to the meniscus and cruciate ligament of his left knee, and the current 2024/25 season has already been completed for him.

Bremer is a key central defender for Juventus, whose defense under Thiago Motta has been impressively solid. In Serie A, the Turin club missed out for the first time only in the 7th round, and even then from a penalty kick (from Razvan Marin at the end of the match with Cagliari – 1:1). In the Champions League, Juve missed a goal in each of the matches, but this did not stop them from celebrating the final victories (in addition to the triumph against RB Leipzig, in the opening round they won a home victory over PSV – 3:1).

Juventus will play their next match on October 19 – Thiago Motta’s team will host Lazio at home in Serie A.
