The blue-yellows failed to qualify for the tournament
Ukrainian national beach soccer team lost in overtime France in the 1/8 finals of European qualification World Cup 2025 – 4:5.
The blue-and-yellows opened the scoring in the first period, Timofey Listopad converted a penalty, and a minute later Igor Levchenko doubled the advantage. The French reduced the gap before the first break. In the second 12 minutes, Andrey Pashko again increased the advantage of the Ukrainians, but the French again reduced it.
In the third period, France was able to equalize the score. Pashko made a double with a long-range strike, once again putting the Ukrainians ahead. However, the French scored a penalty and sent the match into overtime. In extra time, France scored the winning goal from a set-piece.
The Ukrainian national team was unable to make it to the second group round of European qualifying for the 2025 World Cup and stopped participating in the tournament. Let us remind you that in the qualifying round the blue-yellows lost to the Polish national team (1:8), and beat the Norwegian national team twice (8:2 and 6:2).
