The Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation said it would take into account the FSM’s experience in obtaining neutral status for athletes.

President of the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation Olga Brusnikina told that the organization will take into account the experience of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (RSF) in obtaining neutral status for athletes, but the key issue remains the criteria for admission to international tournaments.

Earlier, the FSM announced that swimmers would begin enjoying neutral status ahead of December’s world championships in Budapest. This week, Andrey Minakov and Nika Godun were granted neutrality status.

“We will certainly take into account the experience of the FSM, but the admission criteria remain the same and have a number of obstacles that will be difficult to overcome for athletes who want to obtain neutral status,” Brusnikina told .
