Roma is considering Everton forward Beta as a reserve for Dovbik

Eldor Shomurudov did not convince Ivan Yurich, so Roma began to look for an alternative to him

Roma considering a forward Everton Betu as a Ukrainian reservist Artem Dovbik.

It is reported that Uzbek forward Eldor Shomurudov did not impress Roma’s new coach Ivan Jurich, so the club began looking for a replacement for him.

Bet’s transfer could be facilitated by the synergy between Roma and Everton, as both clubs are under the control of Dan Friedkin.

Betu joined Everton in the summer of 2023 from Udinese for €28 million. Last season, the 26-year-old Portuguese played 30 matches in the Premier League, scoring 3 goals. This season, Betu does not always make it into the Toffees squad, having played only 4 matches in the Premier League (coming as a substitute in 3 of them).

Artem Dovbik managed to play 9 matches for Roma in all tournaments in the 2024/25 season, scoring 4 goals. The Ukrainian officially moved to Roma in early August. Artem became the first Ukrainian in the history of Wolves. According to previously released information, the transfer cost the Romans 32-33 million euros and 5-6 million bonus payments.

Roma will play their next match on October 20 at home against Inter.
