Famous British cyclist Mark Cavendish will end his professional career November 10.

Manx Missile will compete in the Tour de France Criterium exhibition race in Singapore on November 9 and 10. The organizers also announced the participation in the event of the legendary Great Loop champions Chris Froome, Vincenzo Nibali, and four-time La Vuelta winner Primoz Roglic.

Cavendish, 39, has 165 professional road cycling wins. Among them is the 2011 world champion title, victory at the Milan-San Remo monument, victories at the stages of all three grand tours. His track record includes two jerseys as the best sprinter in the Tour de France.

In 2024, Mark broke the record of the legendary Eddy Merckx for the number of stage victories in the Tour de France. The Briton became the sole leader in this indicator with 35 victories.

Until recently, the sprinter did not announce plans for the next season. Mark revealed that he does not plan to compete in the Tour de France anymore, but the continuation of his career itself remained in question. It was also reported that Cavendish is considering several options for his future activities, including an administrative or representative position in his current Astana Qazaqstan Team.
