Figure skaters Polina Shesheleva and Egor Karnaukhov shared their emotions after winning the Moscow stage of the Russian Junior Grand Prix in pair skating.

On Friday, Shesheleva and Karnaukhov won the Grand Prix stage in Moscow, scoring 188.27 points in a total of two programs. Anastasia Chernyshova and Vladislav Vilchik (179.95) took second place, Veronika Merenkova and Danil Galimov (173.01) took third place.

– What are your impressions and emotions?

Shecheleva: Very happy! It took a long time to achieve this, we worked very hard on it.

Karnaukhov: Pleasant feelings after rental. Of course, not everything went well. After third place in the short program, in the free program we managed to pull ourselves together, almost everything was done.

— Who staged your programs?

Karnaukhov: Anton Shibnev choreographed the short program for us, we practiced it with our choreographer, did different approaches.

Shecheleva: Georgy Vladimirovich Pokhilyuk choreographed our free program. He bets on both singles and doubles. Very interesting idea, I like it. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone.

— You have only been skating together since the second season. What qualities do you like in each other?

Karnaukhov: Polina is a fighter, a woman of character.

Shecheleva: Egor is strong, persistent, very good.
