Figure skater Kolesnikov said he was learning a quadruple loop

Figure skater Nikolai Kolesnikov, who took second place at the Moscow stage of the Russian Junior Grand Prix, said he was working on a quadruple loop.

On Saturday, Kolesnikov took second place at the Moscow stage, scoring 228.91 points in the total of two programs. The winner was Lev Lazarev (258.40), the third was Vadim Voronov (228.47).

— How would you rate your performance?

— I’m not very happy with the short program, because I was better prepared, the triple Axel is already quite good and is on its way. And in principle I was satisfied with the free program, there were some nuances, but not bad.

— What worked in the program and what didn’t?

– It turned out that there were four of them. The nuances were all the same. I did a triple flip-double toe loop instead of a 3-3 cascade. Of course I would do it again.

— What do you like about these programs?

— I like both programs in their own way. I set a goal for myself to skate in different characters, to be able to skate different programs, so I can’t say I like any program better. I really like both programs.

— Can we say that you are starting again this season?

— Yes, the attitude has certainly changed. I’m going to work.

— What global tasks do you face for this season?

— The goal for this season is to skate programs only. Of course, it gets more complicated. Learn new quads, because you can’t live without them.

— What is your favorite quad at the moment?

– Salchow or sheepskin coat. Probably Salchow.

– Which ones are the most insidious for you?

— Among the ones I teach, I think it’s a loop at the moment. There were even good attempts, they worked quite well, so I wanted to learn it and insert it into the program, ”reports the correspondent of , according to Kolesnikov’s words.
