— There are no international competitions currently, an end of career would be logical. Whoever ends their career now – whether it’s a top skater or a young one – I will understand that decision. Basically, why waste your health if you can go train, earn money and teach young skaters who can then compete in international tournaments.

— So what keeps figure skaters in the sport today?

— I’m thinking about the organization of tournaments and the public. The Federation now organizes competitions in an interesting way, this approach is inspiring.
