President of the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation Olga Brusnikina told that the experience of Dmitry Mazepin will help structure the work of the United Aquatics Federation in all aspects.

On Tuesday, Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev supported Mazepin’s candidacy for the post of head of the Russian Swimming Federation.

— I fully trust the opinion of the Minister of Sports regarding the appointment of Dmitry Mazepin as president of the new United Swimming Federation. I know that Dmitry Arkadyevich has been heading the Supreme Supervisory Council of the FSM for many years. He therefore knows the area of work of the swimming federation in particular well. And the experience of the head of a large company will help structure the work of the United Water Sports Federation in all its aspects! — Brusnikina told .

On October 1, the All-Russian Swimming Federation (RSF) proposed merging four aquatic federations into one. The new united federation is planned to include the FSM, the Russian Diving Federation, the Russian Water Polo Federation and the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation.

The electoral conference will take place on October 31 in Moscow.
