President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (RSF) Vladimir Salnikov told that the head of the Supreme Supervisory Council of the FSM, Dmitry Mazepin, will be able to make a great contribution to the development of water sports in Russia.
On Tuesday, Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev supported Mazepin’s candidacy for the post of head of the Russian Swimming Federation.

On October 1, the FSM proposed merging four aquatic federations into one. The new united federation is planned to include the FSM, the Russian Diving Federation, the Russian Water Polo Federation and the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation.
The electoral conference will take place on October 31 in Moscow.
