The contract of the German specialist will be valid for 18 months
German specialist Thomas Tuchel entered into a contract with Football Association of England and will become the new head coach of the national team.
The contract is valid for 18 months and will begin on January 1, 2025.
Official confirmation of the cooperation between the two sides could take place as soon as tomorrow, when the FA’s planned press conference takes place at Wembley.

In mid-July, Gareth Southgate resigned as England manager. The specialist has led the team since 2016. Together with Southgate, the English team reached the European Championship finals in 2021 and 2024, but were defeated in both tournaments.
During his career, Tuchel led Mainz, Borussia Dortmund (2017 German Cup), PSG (six trophies plus the 2020 Champions League final), Chelsea (winning the 2021 Champions League, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup) and Bayern. With the latter, Thomas won the Bundesliga in 2023, but the team regressed to third place with him last season.
Let us remember that at the end of last season England were relegated to Division B of the Nations League.
