Fourth medal for Ukraine
Ukrainian athletes Vladislav and Marina Alekseeva won gold in artistic swimming at European Championship 2022 in water sports, which takes place in Rome.
The Alekseev sisters scored 94.7333 points in the free duet program, which made the Ukrainians unattainable for their rivals. It should be noted that for Ukraine this gold in a duet is the first in the history of the country for all the European championships in water sports.
In total, blue-yellows in Italy have already won four sets of awards. Earlier, Ukraine became the gold medalist of the European Artistic Swimming Championship in the technical program among teams.
In addition, Marta Fedina won first place in the individual artistic swimming competition in the technical solo. Blue-yellows got one more gold in the team highlight.
The European Championship takes place in Rome from 11 to 21 August. Competitions in artistic swimming will be held from 11 to 15 August.
