President of the Russian Diving Federation Stanislav Druzhinin believes that Dmitry Mazepin is an effective leader who will help achieve new goals in the development of water sports in Russia.
On Tuesday, Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev supported Mazepin’s candidacy for the post of head of the Russian Swimming Federation.
— We supported the unification of federations, this corresponds to international standards and trends in Russian sport. Dmitry Arkadyevich’s candidacy for the post of President of the United Federation was not chosen by chance: he is involved in sports, heads the supervisory board of the All-Russian Swimming Federation and is an effective leader. I am convinced that together we will achieve even greater efficiency, not only in the development and support of sport and athletes, but also in the areas of management, finance and sponsorship. I wish Dmitry Arkadyevich great success,” Druzhinin told .
On October 1, the All-Russian Swimming Federation (RSF) proposed merging four aquatic federations into one. The new united federation is planned to include the FSM, the Russian Diving Federation, the Russian Water Polo Federation and the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation.
The electoral conference will take place on October 31 in Moscow.
