The hockey players played in special stylized jerseys, the proceeds from the sale of which will be donated to the Fritt Ukraine Foundation
Norwegian Hockey Club Stavanger Oilers held an action in support Ukraine.
The local team played their home match of the elite division (EHL) against Lerenskog (9:1) in a special camouflage uniform. After the fight, an auction was announced, as a result of which all proceeds from the sale of exclusive jerseys will be directed to the Fritt Ukraina (Free Ukraine) foundation.
The auction organizers’ statement reads:
“Our brave friends at the front in Ukraine are fighting for all of free Europe. You and I, too. By purchasing a uniform at the auction, you support the important work of the Fritt Ukraine organization and thereby contribute to the fight for freedom.”
Let us note that the 16-year-old defender of the youth and youth national teams of Ukraine Nikolai Kosarev took part in the mentioned victory over Lerenskog and gave an assist.
