Kyiv-Basket snatched victory over Zaporozhye in the opening match of the second game week of the FAVBET-2024/25 Super League

The Kiev team won the second game out of three, the Cossacks are still without victories in the new season

Ivano-Frankivsk bubble in Superleague FAVBET-2024/25 started with an action-packed thriller, the denouement of which Kyiv-Basket managed to snatch victory over BC Zaporozhye – 72:71.

The entire fight took place in an equal and uncompromising fight. The Zaporozhye team started more actively, but by the end of the quarter the Kiev team evened out the situation and even won it with a minimal score. The “swing” with the score as close as possible continued in the second ten minutes; the opponents left for the long break with the score 37:35 in favor of the capital team.

The third quarter was held with a slight advantage of Kyiv-Basket, but Dmitry Zabirchenko’s team did not manage to get into the lead – by the last break, it “lucked” only three points to the opponent.

The denouement, as befits a battle of equal opponents, was extremely dramatic. In the end, the teams took turns taking the lead, but the decisive argument still turned out to be the Kyivians.

The most productive player of the meeting was Kiev captain Pavel Burenko (26 points). Also in the Kyiv-Basket lineup, we note Denis Klevzunik, who scored a double-double (21 + 10 rebounds). Andrey Khokhonik scored 23 points for Zaporozhye.

The next match Kyiv-Basket will play against Krivbass on October 24. Zaporozhye will play with Prykarpattya-Hoverla on October 19.
