The court ruled in favor of PSV, but Dutch fans will still not be able to attend the Champions League match in Paris

Earlier, the French authorities did not allow fans of the Eindhoven club to attend the away match with PSG

PSV won the trial, which took place under a simplified procedure, regarding the non-admission of his fans to the away match of the 3rd round Champions League against Paris Saint-Germainwhich will take place on October 22.

Despite this, fans of the Dutch club will still not be able to support their team in Paris in the mentioned match – the reason is “internal security problems” on the French side.

One way or another, the judicial victory means clearing the reputation of PSV fans and is, from the club’s point of view, an “important signal” in light of the upcoming trip to Brest for the match of the 6th round of the 2024/25 Champions League on December 10.

Let us remind you that earlier the French authorities refused to allow the Eindhoven club to allow fans to attend the Champions League match with PSG. PSV, unlike some other clubs, did not receive any European Cup fines or bans from UEFA. However, French police cited disturbances by Dutch fans at the 2023/24 Champions League match Lens – PSV (1:1), as well as “internal security issues.”

In March this year, a PSV fan was sentenced to three months and given a 40-year ban from visiting the club’s stadium for attacking the Sevilla goalkeeper in a Europa League match.

PSV scored one point in the first two rounds of the updated Champions League. PSG started with a home victory over Girona (1:0), after which they lost away to Arsenal (0:2).
