The coach discussed the terms of possible cooperation with the leaders of the Poltava club
Former coach of Dnepr-1 Yuri Maksimov is negotiating a return to Vorskla.
The management of the Poltava club is considering the option of involving their former coach. The coach on Tuesday discussed the terms of potential cooperation with Vorskla top managers.
Maksimov led the Poltava team from 2019 to 2022. Later, the specialist served as sports director of Polesie, coach of Zvyagel, after which he headed Dnepr-1.
In the summer of 2024, the Dnipro team refused to participate in the new season’s tournaments and were looking for an opportunity to maintain their professional status. At the General Meeting, the clubs of the Ukrainian Premier League satisfied Dnepr-1’s application for exclusion from the competition.
Earlier it was reported that Maksimov refused offers from Azerbaijan, both clubs and the national team. The coach did not want to leave Ukraine and was waiting for offers from local clubs.
Vorskla is in 12th place in the UPL with 9 points. The team led by Sergei Dolgansky has lost three matches in a row and has not won an official match since August. In the next match, Vorskla will play against Veres on October 27.
