Boyko and Khmelevsky brought Ukraine victory at the European Snooker Championship

In the final, Ukraine-1 snatched a victory over the first team of Malta, which it had previously lost to in the group stage

Ukrainians Yulian Boyko And Denis Khmelevsky became triumphant European Snooker Championship 2024.

At the continental championship, which was hosted by the Portuguese Albufeira, Julian and Denis represented the Ukraine-1 team. At the group stage, our two compatriots won two out of three, defeating Ireland-1 and Poland-2 (both times – 3:0 in frames) and losing to Malta-1 (1:3).

In the 1/8 finals, Boyko and Khmelevsky were stronger than compatriots Anton Kazakov and Mikhail Larkov (Ukraine-2 team) – 3:1. Further in the playoffs, Ukraine-1 did not experience any problems with Malta-3 and Poland-4 (two clean victories).

In the final battle, the Ukrainians were again opposed by the first team of Malta. And this time Julian and Denis managed to take revenge – 3:2.

Earlier, 18-year-old Boyko became the 2024 European champion in the Shoot-Out discipline, repeating his last year’s achievement.

Julian made his debut in professional snooker at the age of 14, and already at 15 he won his first victory at this level.
