Joshua on Russia’s war against Ukraine: It’s a shame when civilians suffer

The Briton supported the Ukrainian boxer in his actions.

British heavyweight Anthony Joshua shares his opinion on the impact of a full-scale war between Ukraine and Russia.

According to the Briton, he does not know how the fighting will affect the Ukrainian.

“If I were in his place, it would affect me. I don’t know what those emotions would be and how I would deal with them. But I know for sure that it would be hard.”

Joshua expressed that he respects Usyk for his behavior.

“I have never experienced anything like this and I have no idea what the consequences of this could be for me. I respect Usyk for everything he did. One hundred percent. You have to protect your home. It’s a shame that civilians suffer in war “.

The Briton added that he will also stand up for his home.

“I think I would have done the same as he did. Not as a boxer or a warrior, but as an ordinary person fighting for his community. That’s what you should do in a war, right? Protect your home,” quoted the words of Joshua Daily Mail.

It will be remembered that the rematch between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) at the Super Dome arena.
