The 38-year-old football player has scored 66 goals for the national team
Forward and captain Ukrainian women’s national football team Daria Apanaschenko played her 150th match as part of the national team.
The anniversary fell on the Euro 2025 qualifying match against Turkey, which ended in a draw with a score of 1:1. Apanaschenko came into the starting lineup and scored a goal in the 31st minute.
Daria Apanaschenko made her debut for the Ukrainian national team back in 2002 at the age of 16. Together with the national team, she took part in the 2009 European Championship.
In 150 matches for the Ukrainian national team, Apanaschenko scored 66 goals. At the club level, the 38-year-old football player represents Metalist 1925.
The return match between the women’s national teams of Ukraine and Turkey is scheduled for October 29. The match will take place in the capital of Moldova, Chisinau, at the Zimbru stadium.
