European figure skating champion Alena Kostornaya talked about independent living.
“I was tired of being controlled, I wanted to try myself as an adult, to see if I could handle it. And what can I do without outside help. At first there was such a euphoria of absolute freedom. But very soon I realized that I didn’t even know how to calculate my own budget. Last season, 18-year-old Kostornaya trained with Eteri Tutberidze. During the offseason, she changed her group – now the skater is under the leadership of Elena Buyanova.
Earlier, Kostornaya told that she will undergo surgery on her injured hip at the end of August.
