The book tells about the history of FC Shakhtar and the events of the first season after the full-scale invasion
On October 25, the Kiev bookstore Readeat hosted a presentation of the Ukrainian-language edition of Andy Brassell’s book “We continue to play. Donetsk Shakhtar’s fight for Ukraine, Football and Freedom.”
This book tells about the history of FC Shakhtar and the events of the first season after the full-scale invasion. 272 pages contain unique testimonies and experiences of coaches, football players and employees of the Donetsk club who continue to play and fight despite the war.
About 100 team fans gathered at the book presentation. The event was attended by Shakhtar players – goalkeeper Dmitry Riznyk and defender Valery Bondaras well as football players of the Miners women’s team – Lydia Zaborovets And Diana Kravchuk.
Andy Brassell’s book We Play On. Shakhtar Donetsk’s fight for Ukraine, Football and Freedom” in the Ukrainian-language edition is already on sale in the Shakhtar Store, on the official website shop.shakhtar.com and in the Readeat store.
