Okolie will return to the ring in December

Next, the boxer wants a fight with Parker or Kabayel

Former WBO world cruiserweight champion, former World Boxing Council (WBC) bridgeweight title holder Lawrence Okoli (20-1, 15 KOs) announced his plans.

Okolie plans to return to the ring in December. Next, the boxer intends to fight Joseph Parker or Agit Kabayel.

“If I perform well in December, I will immediately be in the top five heavyweights. Then I have to fight for the opportunity to meet the champion.”

“I will be in the top 5 of the WBC rankings, so a win over Parker or Kabayel will give me an immediate shot at the title. So I want to have a fight in December and a big fight in February and win the title by next summer.”

Okolie lost to Chris Billam-Smith in May 2023 when he lost the WBO belt. This defeat was the only one for him in his career. After that, Lawrence triumphed over the Pole Ruzanski, winning the WBC champion title.

In August, we recall, Okolie invited former heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder to “go down” a category and fight him in bridgeweight.

Lawrence recently signed a contract with Queensberry Promotions. Previously, Queensberry entered into a partnership with Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Vladislav Sirenko
