According to media reports, the CSKA team took part in the first stage of the multi-day cycling race, despite a warning about the inadmissibility of such participation. As the text specifies, the team was invited on the organizers’ own initiative and the race organizing committee ignored the UCI’s attempts to prevent this representation.
