Ukrainian women’s team lost in handball Czech Republic on Three teams tournament in Austrian Tulln – 25:34.
Boris Chizhov’s team played their first match in a friendly tournament, which became part of the team’s preparation for the final part of Euro 2024, while their rivals had previously lost to the home team with a minimal score (25:26).
At first there was an equal fight on the court, but in the second half of the first half the Czech handball players made a breakthrough and went into the break with a 17:10 advantage. The Ukrainians played the second half of the meeting more effectively, but this did not prevent the Czech team from winning a landslide victory.
The most productive players for the blue-yellow team were Karina Soskida and Valeria Nesterenko – 4 goals each. The greatest contribution to the victory of the Czech team was made by Marketa Jezhabkova (6).
Tomorrow, October 27, Ukraine will play its second match in the tournament – against the Austrian national team.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian women’s team will play in the final part of the European Championship 2024. The Ukrainians’ rivals will be the Netherlands, Germany and Iceland. The tournament will take place from November 28 to December 15.
