Figure skaters Alisa Blinnikova and Alexey Karpov said that at the first stage of the Russian Grand Prix they accomplished almost everything they planned in the program.

On Sunday, Blinnikova/Karpov took third place in the pair sports competition at the first stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Magnitogorsk, scoring 178.46 points in the total of two programs. The first were Elizaveta Osokina/Artem Gritsaenko (211.80), the second were Anastasia Mukhortova/Dmitry Evgeniev (208.08).

Karpov: It’s a shame for the show jumping content, especially butterfly, but at the moment it’s the best rental of the season.

— Is there a difference with the transition to adults?

Karpov: Yes, it’s noticeable. In terms of organization and scale of competitions. Many of our opponents excite us.

— Juniors often compete in empty rooms. Does it excite you when there are a lot of people?

Blinnikova: Turns me on more.
