Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova believes that one should not expect ultra-so elements performed by figure skaters at the first stage of the Russian Grand Prix.
The stage took place in Magnitogorsk. The women’s tournament was won by Anna Frolova.
— The Grand Prix stage is over. How do you assess the competition between individual skaters, were there no ultra-c elements or is it too early?
– This is only the second competition, everyone is just entering the season. Jumps are taught, but they are not yet integrated into the program. It’s a difficult process, very painful, when you teach you fall a lot and the ice is not soft. What do you expect from girls? They all did triple jumps. Three and a half rounds? Maybe for the Russian championship one person, maybe two girls will skip them, or maybe not,” Tarasova told .
The second stage of the Russian Grand Prix will take place in Kazan from November 1 to 4.
