Acting President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Anton Sikharulidze said that the performances of Russian athletes only within the country without participation in international competitions do not affect them negatively.
Russian figure skaters have not participated in international competitions since 2022 due to the situation in Ukraine.
– When we were suspended, we often heard that we would be stewed in juice. Why is competition intensifying?
— The juice we cook in is delicious. We objectively assess the situation. We have a large number of competitions. We keep the guys busy, especially the leaders, throughout the season. Earning money is important, it matters a lot. They are not deprived of anything and can earn a decent living by winning prizes,” reports correspondent, reporting Sikharulidze’s words.
The first stage of the Russian Grand Prix ended on Sunday in Magnitogorsk.
